Walk the heart of Rome.
The tour starts at the end of the afternoon in The Popolo Square (Piazza del Popolo) where you can admire the Flaminio Obelisk in the center of the square and the twin churches of Santa María in Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli.
Go to the Spanish Square(Piazza Spagna) to see the most famous staircase in Rome that leads to the church of Santa Trinità dei Monti.
After, we will walk to reach the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), one of the most famous fountains in the world that was part of the movie “La dolce vita”. It was designed in 1731 by Nicola Salvi but was completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762. Do not forget to make a wish and toss a coin.
Later, the guide will take you through the Roman alleys until you reach the Pantheon, “The temple of all the gods”, where the tombs of the famous artist Raffaello Sanzio, King Vittorio Emanuele II, among others, are currently located.
It was built between the years (118-125 AD) and its dome is still one of the largest in the world today.
Finally you will reach the Piazza Navona where you will find the Fountain of four rivers (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi), another masterpiece by the sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
